Im Finally Back and For Good This Time

Hey you guys it's been a while but I'm finally back and ready to get this blog rolling again. Now when I left it was fall season and so much has happened in my life that blogging, vlogging, and writing was something I had to put on hold. But now that I have things back on track and have all those un-needed people out of my life I'm good to go. So with this being said I'm back and ready to bring to some wonderful creation, delicious recipes, and amazing chips along with so much more. I have so much more that I want to talk to you all about that it will really take me longer than a week to catch up but we will get there.

So you all soon
Love, peace, and blessing from QU

PRAYERS FOR ALL THOSE HIT BY THE HURRICANE

I know this post isn't about anything dealing with the fall season but i would like to take the time out ant pray for all those who have been hit by this monster storm. I would also like to pray fot those we are about to het hit by this monster. Being that I went through Hurricane Katrina i know all two well how these storms can mess up ones life.Not only did I have to start over but I my family did too. For weeks I didn't know where most of my family and friends were and that alone was scary, I wouldn't want to go through that again and the fact that it could happen again soon worries me.  With all this being said please pray for all those hit by this storm.

Please and Thank You

MY Reading List

Hey guys I hope you guys are enjoying the Fall Season as much as I am. Did I ever tell you guys that I love Fall as much as I love myself lol, for me it just seems like this is the only time of the year that you can do certain things. Like its good to pull out all those crock pot lunch and dinner recipes, or bake an apple pie, cherry pie, peach pie or coobler every day of the week. It's just so much you can do in the Fall that if I mention everything in this one blog post I wont have anything else to blag about until the winter gets here. So I just stop and talk to you guys about my reading list. Over the past few weeks I've been getting emails from some of my reading asking me about what good books are out there now, and I'm sorry I'm just now getting to this guys but with the kids and other things I've been kinda busy. But here I am ready to tell you guys all about the good books that are out by some of our fav authors. Now I'm not sure about most of you all but I love to sit outside on my porch and unwind with a good book. So I've put together my list that I will be reading over the next couple of weeks and I also threw in some suggestions for some of my readers.

This list here includes all of my October books I hope you guys find this helpful

 Addicted with a Twist by Zane (Now I know some of you guys may have read the first Addicted book by Zane but if you have not read Addicted with a twist I suggest you add this to your list. This book is GOOD. I enjoyed it so much that i just have to read it for a second time.)

A Full Schedule

So now that Fall is here our busy lives just got a whole lot more complacated. With the kids being back in school, having after school activities, us having to work and much much more. Its starting to get harder for us to keep up with our daily housework, and other activities. I'm not sure about you guys but sometimes I don't know if I'm coming or going. After i get off from work I come home to have only 30 minutes to an hour to myself before it's time for me to get the kids from school and daycare and to their activities. With my oldest having his after school activities and me working on my blog, My upcoming book Santa Babe and my cookbook New Orleans Best. I sometimes feel like there isnt enough hours in the day for me to complete everything that needs to be done. Especially when I have to cook dinner and make sure that the kids have done there homework, completed their chours, took theirs bathes, ate dinner, etc. It seems like once the sun goes down my night gets shorter lol. But its always ruff for me the first couple of weeks of Fall especially after Day Light Saving Time comes around, but over the past two years I've been working on a schedule that nt only works around my family but it also helps me get through my day a lot better. I Just had to get better organzied when it came to balacing my time and everything esle. So I went to a group on facebook adn asked a few moms how they make things happen when in their household. Just to my surprise a mother of six inboxed me, she went on to explain to me how she not only has time to go to work and take care of home but also have a couple of hours to spare before its time for her to call it a night herself. And with her being off on weekends she really has more time to complete the things that she know she wont be able to get done durning the weekday. This mom was having the same problem I was having a few years ago, and when it came down to balacing her time she had no clue how to do that. She went on to tell me that before she got in her scheudle her life was hetic and having six kids that are into six different things didn't make it any better. She said that on good days she barly had 20 minutes to herself, and as far as hangingh out with friends she didn't even know what that was like. And thats when she decided that it was time to get some type of order in her life and in her household. So she started a time schedule, on this schedule she broke down her time. She made a list of all the activities that her kids where in, she also made a list of all the things that she had to do herself durning the day while the kids were at school. Now im not going to lie at first I thought that it was a waste of time to do this but after i read further I started to get the hint. Once she figured out which one of her friend had kids in certain activites with her kids she inquired about the carpooling. Which gave her an extra three hours each day. Once she figured out how much free time she had in the day she decided to give at least two hours to herself to help unwind from the days events. Once she got her family on the schedule she set out in search for ways to make meal planning better. Like any mother I can completely understand the need to plan meals ahead for my family. Once she found the meal planner that worked for her and her family she later come back and posted the success of her schedule and meal planning to the group. So a week later I took the time and did the same thing, I planned my meals and even got everyone on a schedule, but as we all know life doesnt always go as planned especially when you have kids. But I'm proud to say that after a year and five months we finally got it together. Not only is every one on a schedule and I have been succefully sticking to my meal planner but my kids are enjoying the extra hours that they have  each day and I'm also enjoying the extra hours of down time that I have as well. Since then I have been able to catch up on some much needed girl time and reading. But here are some tips for you single mothers out there. Having a schedule and sticking to it is a wonderful thing and trust me it will have you feeling so much better about. Being a single mother is stressful enough so if there is anyway that i can help any mother make that better I will. Plan out your week, weeks, or months in advance, trust me it will come in handy to do so. It will be hard but try your best to stick to the planner especially durning the week. Somewhere on each week it doesnt matter which day of the week give you and your kids free days, free days will help you so much. On my free days I order in and allow the kids to do what they want to do, I sit back and dont do anything that day. I make sure the house is lean and tidy the night before so once i make it home from work there isn't anything that I have to do but to get a glass of wine and unwind. In my house our free day is Wedensday, and since Wedensday is the middle of the week it allows us to just relax and prepare the Thursday. Durning the week i try not to run any errands since im limited on hours once I get off from work. So when Saturday gets here the kids and i take the day and run all the errands that we need to run. Once i make it back home I use the rest of the day for me time (unless the kids and I have plans to go out and about) By the time sunday roll around I'm back to my regular schedule.

I hope this is helpful to some of you and please feel free to sure your methods.

Everything Fall

The Four Wonderful Seasons, Everything Fall

The Four Wonderful Seasons
Everything Fall

Welcome to The Four Wonderful Seasons,
I hope you guys are enjoying these last couple of weeks of summer, I know I am.
But with school right around the corner I know you are doing the same thing that I’m doing, and that’s getting these kids ready for back to school time. I remember when I was in school I couldn’t wait for the first day of school to start so I could show off my new school shoes, new bows and backpack. Nowadays the kids are not as eager to go back and with all this new technology going on they really could care less about their studies and more about who has the latest smart phone.
But enough about that, I found a new recipe that

I can’t wait to try with my kids, and it’s a good treat that I know they will love. A treat that we can close out summer with and welcome in the Fall. Speaking of Fall, did I mention that fall is one of my favorite seasons. Truth be told I love Fall more than any other season, it’s just something about the leaves, comfort foods, hot tea, and cool breeze, and please don’t forget a good book. I may be speaking for myself when I say this but Fall is by far the best season ever. I love the Fall and the things that comes with it. Especially the food. There’s so many crafty things you can do in the Fall. The snacks, comfort food, and drink list is endless. And I have just the right recipe to start is off with. Like I said before I have a treat that we can end the summer with and start the fall off just right.

When I first made my Harvest Popcorn I wasn’t sure how my kids would like it especially since it had a sweet and salty taste to it. But to my surprise they loved it they not only ate it all up they pretty much begged for more.

This is a great snack that you and the kids can enjoy anytime of the day, and anytime of the year as well but I prefer to make this during the Fall months.

Here’s what you’ll need

Harvest Treat bags {or you can use whatever kind of treat bags you like}
3 cups of popcorn
 2 bags of Harvest Blend M&M’S
1 bag of Rolo’s
Caramel

Step One
Pop your popcorn {make sure to take all the seeds out you don’t want to bite down on and seeds when enjoying this snack}
Step Two
Place your popcorn on a cookie sheet {make sure to spread it out so that the caramel can coat ever kernel}
Step Three
Melt your caramel {I bought the caramel cubs and I melted them in the microwave} then pour the caramel over the popcorn make sure to try and coat all of the popcorn but if you miss some don’t worry.
Step Four
Stir the popcorn around to try and coat all the popcorn, after you have done this then place the popcorn in a mixing bowl
Open the two bags of M&M’S and Roles’ and pour them into the mixing bowl as well
Step Five
Take the left over caramel and pour it into the bowl then stir it around again
Then take the mixture and place into the treat bags and serve

I hope your Guys enjoy My Harvest Popcorn

Hope to see you all soon
